Glass for improved comfort
UV cut glass has high performance for shutting ultraviolet rays that are harmful to your skin and car interior materials.
UV-cut and heat absorption functions are both added to normal green glass.
1. UV reduction reduces passengers of sunburn, which is a cause of skin cancer. It also slows down the deterioration of the internal materials of the vehicle.
2. The heat absorption function suppresses the rising temperature inside the vehicle, thereby reducing the use of air-conditioning, and hence contributes to fuel cost-saving.
IR cut glass can reduce the cooling load since it cuts infrared rays and controls temperature increase in the cabin and the following advantages can be attained:
1.Reduction of thermal load on the vehicle body
- reduced use of air-conditioning -> improved fuel efficiency
- rising temperature of vehicle parts is suppressed and hence durability is improved
2.Improved comfort for passengers
- time needed for compartment cooling by air-conditioner is shortened
- irritations on passengers caused by direct sun light are reduced
- passengers’ skin is protected from IR and UV rays
Depending on the application, we can provide either laminated glass sandwiching a special function film or tempered glass with a surface coating.
